Last Friday, father & son went to watch the movie 'Cars' together. Nothing unusual, as they have watched countless of movies together before. This time however, the movie is about cars. They both loved it. They talked endlessly about it, the characters and the cars in particular. On Saturday, we went to Toy Town at Takashimaya. And like all other disney movies, it comes with merchandise products. So father & son grew all excited, the son I understand as he always have a penchant for movie toys - our house is like a shrine to Woody & Buzz Lightyear. So father decided to buy the toys, not 1 car, but the whole cast of cars(almost as they ran out 3 of the characters) for the son - but believe me,looking at his glowing exuberant face, we know who is more pleased with the haul. So we were poorer by $158.But 2 men in my life are happy, that should be more than made up for it. A good weekend I should say, of course made more excited by the World Cup.(but of course!)
