Over the weekend, my husband turned a ripe age of 37. There's no big-affair party nor were there crowds of merriment to celebrate his special day. He got what he wanted - a birthday, being surrounded by people that matters & mean the most to him. He got not 1 but 2 birthday cakes, one each 'celebrated' at our place & the next day at his parent's place. My dear mother-in-law cooked up a storm in the kitchen on Sunday by whipping impromptu dishes of Nasi Briyani & satay with Creme Brulee Pudding for special guests who turned up for the mini-surprise celebration for him. It was unexpected alright, but it was a warm & cosy affair amidst the cold rainy weather. Surrounded by those dear to him, I think its one of the more memorable birthdays he ever had...
