it was a busy weekend for me again. a weekend filled with meet-ups with friends & family. my weekend started with an early morning meet-up with my saint homy girls as I paid another visit to see Faz & Dani, this time round together with Rima, Salawati & Haliza who couldnt't quite make it the first time I went over. an unplanned outing saw us doing a little window shopping & having lunch at vivo together with the weekend crowd.
After a quick rest, I then headed to the East with the kids where dear Yan celebrated her Prince Darwish's first birthday. with saturday leaving me happy & tired-out, an early saturday night prepared me for yet another event the next day.it was the wedding of the husband's cousin. once again I was reunited with aunties & cousin's in-law in the form of mamis & mamus. this time round it was much more relaxing as we did not do much of a helping-rewang bit. we get to enjoy live hindi music all afternoon & the day ended perfectly with a little bhangra do enjoyed by all.
it was the first time I've seen my husband's family having fun & literally 'letting their hair down'. I can also feel a sense of camaraderie & family closeness & felt ties that were 'loosen' were definitely 'sealed' & mended. & since there was not much 'working' to do I get to prance rather comfortably in my heels & lace baju all day long. I think I echoed everybody's sentiments when Auntie Faridah said that 'it was really nice seeing you again & I had so much fun today, I hope u did too' when I bid her farewell. yes, fun. I really did. the husband too, even though it was followed by an achy body after all the little banghra prancing that he did...
