In our times of computer-games, playstations and DVD, I am so eternally greatful that some things of yesteryears still remain the same. It is something that I can proud to say I have in common with my kids and hopefully with my grandkids in the future - it is the coin-operated mechanical rides. The novelty still remains and and thank god the price have remain the same too-still a mere 20c for a 2-min ride to keep kids happy and hassle free. Amira even have a coin pouch dedicated to the daily horse-ride trips which she calls it 'duit-kuda'(no relation whatsoever to Turf Club) courtesy of her Tok Teh. Even Amirul finds endless joy on those rides. I hope the rides will be there to stay and not get 'over-rided' by our modern computer-robotic games.
Last Monday Amirul finally got his confirmation letter for his primary school admission. Apparently, the letter mailed to us got lost somewhere in the mail (how can right??) But at least things are settled now, we just have our room to renovate next and get into the next wave of momentum of things.(I think I sound like Ja here)
