I have not been up to update my blog lately. Not because not much happening, its just one of those moments. For the past 10 days was a flurry of activities, beginning with the registration of Amirul's School. We dropped by Henry Park to check out the response. Initially we thought we could stand a chance as the carpark was invisibly quite-meaning not much have applied- but alas since we fall into the 1-2 km category and our chances of getting in is as good as Joachim being voted out, decided to try our luck elsewhere. We heard good reviews about the school so tra-la-la off we went to Clementi Primary Sch feeling oh-so-confident as we are within 1 km of the school. But up til today, there have been no response at all. Are we up for balloting? But I checked and they said if we are within 1 km, we would be automatically registered. One of our neighbours have got their letter and she is even staying at her granny's house. So how? me kan-cheong lah...Everyday I will bug my husband about the reply letter (not that he knowlah kan)... so I continue to wait for some sort of reply
Apart from that, its been kenduri, kenduri and more kenduri that we attended. Starting with my aunt over in Woodlands. Its her 2nd child-a boy. The amazing story about her was that she did not even know she was expecting til she was 5 mths pregnant - reason being she always had regular periods so she din't think much about it when it did not came-a-knocking after a few mths. So she just ate per normal, including her favourite kacang-pool, then when her son is born, he's allergic to nuts-all kinds of nuts-FOR LIFE. If so much as to taste a bit, he'll get jaundice - thats what the dr say at least. I know my aunt would not want to risk that. But the boy will miss on ice-kacang, satay, mee rebus, tahu telur and god knows so much food...
Then a few days ago, our good buddy had lil' Aiman's day of cukur - not that he have much to cukur now :) so me and my husband 'folded our sleeves' and rewang. it was nice and fulfilling knowing that the whole event went smoothly. Also thankful as always that our kids are well taken care off by my auntie.
Looking forward to a more relaxing days ahead..but hey I got another kenduri tomorrow!!
