With both sets of parents (mine & in-laws) away on holidays, we were left to spend 4 days at home(as in 'home' in Singapura). We made sure that our days are properly planned & that the kids would have their fill of fun in the sun.
1st Day of CNY
We brought the kids to the East Coast beach for a frolicking fun time in the sun. Together with my sister with her kids & brother, we set out early , but of course we were beaten by the many other Malay families who came in well-prepared with mighty big-tents, karaoke machines, portable cookers, generators & 3 generations of blood-line. The kids had a great time while I stood by the shore, fighting little crabs that bit me non-stop :p
2nd Day of CNY
I started the day early with my sis to begin our hike up Bt Timah Hill again. Dear husband played babysitter at home to the kids and being a public holiday, we were already expecting the place to be a bit crowded than usual. There were more families with kids although I cannot fathom how the parents would push their lil tots in prams up the steep hill. It was a good hike & we worked up quite a sweat.
At noon, I made my way to the East to finally pay my dear Shir & Ivi a cheerful CNY visit. Together with Yan, we managed to do a bit of catching up & the kids got caught up with their respective gender games & toys (courtesy of Aedil, Iva & Ili :) Then its off to West Coast Park to go fly some kite. And yes, the park was filled with what looked like gazillion visitors, we even manage to witness a mini cricket match courtesy of the foreign Banglas there.
3rd Day of CNY
It was a home-bound day where we just cooked & ate & played board games all the way...very fun indeed...
4th Day of CNY
We headed to the airposrt to fetch my dear mum-in-law then had lunch there, before chilling out at my in-laws at Eunos.
So, thats our 4-days homestay CNY Weekend...we sure felt that the days flew by so quickly & we were worried before that we'll be bored to our wits :p
