After almost 2 weeks hiatus, I returned to school today to complete the 12 week Claymation course. Well its not complete today, I still have until next Wednesday before everything is finally over.
The Hari Raya fever is still lingering in the air, except for the weekends, we have yet to do anymore visiting. I will be physically & emotionally prepping myself up for this coming weekend as I foresee more Raya visits in store & meet-ups with old friends & invitations to open houses to be fulfilled.
Today however I have my part-time housewife mode went to an overdrive. My day started in the morning, where I send the kids 2 school, followed by a trip to the market (not wet market my dear, the 24 hr NTUC :) for some grocery shopping. By 9 I was back home, propped in front of TV with Ellen & Oprah, preparing the dough for more of my Makmur Kueh (yes, I'm making more as the bottle is already 3/4 empty & its not even served on the main kueh platter). After fetching Mira at 11, I hurried back home to get ready for school. I was back by 3 and continue with my Makmur-making session. In between I have to do some daughter-entertaining by applying Henna to her hands(after numerous request by Mira to 'decorate' her hands as the previous design is already washed-out - yes, very vain this girl of mine) & boil some green soya beans that she enjoy tremendously while watching repeats of Mr Bean Holiday. By 5, I started my Mac & Cheese recipe for the husband after my 1st attempt making it was met by my husband's cringing face. This time round, I think it will be a success as it was pre-approved by my asst chef-tasting Amirul. & Since he's fasting today, I will do the 'isteri-mithali' deed by granting his request which was made weeks ago. I was in full swing today, and I did not even have my cup of coffee yet. How I wish I can get this kind of energy & drive every single day, wishful thinking I know - but a woman can dream, yes?
