Here I go again - for the past month my mind & time have been flooded with the likes of Gong Yoo & Lee Dong Wook. Never mind that I've wasted about 30 odd hours of my free time devoted to them, I'm hooked. Thanks to my Xiao-mei, I think I can put my Hindi film addiction for a quick break as I 'drown' myself in these ever so romantic Korean Dramas with hunky & pretty leads to keep my eyes glued to my portable DVD day in & day out.
I do not know what is it about these dramas that affects me so much - I mean I literally drop a tear when a Eun-Chan & Han Gyeol have to split up & then cried buckets when they were finally reunited!!(I guess I can always blame it on the monthly raging hormones ;p) The script is simple & direct and very heartwarming set in reality even though I have to rely on the English subtitles to fully 'immerse' myself in their world. But its a good & I got warm-chummy feeling & thankfully my husband is not complaining about my dire addiction - so far.
So if any of you would like to start the K-Drama Odyssey, "Coffee Prince" is one drama u should kick-start with - no regrets I guarantee.
Now Its time to take a deep breath & embrace myself for yet another K-drama journey with "One Fine Day" staring who else, but Gong Yoo :))
