Amirul likes to cook. Over the past 3 weekends, he has been enthusiastically helping his Auntie Shaheedah to create stuff that he sees in the books bought lovingly by her. Last week he made frozen yoghurt dessert. Very yummy I must say. Made more delicious by his assistant chef, Amira. Thank God his aunt is a cook fanatic herself so at least every weekend now, apart from dozens of toys & weekend dose of Disney Channel, he now looks forward to concocting a new dish at Eunos.
Last Sunday, we had a birthday celebration for our cousin Shereen. Lots of guests, lots of food. I contributed nuggets & fishball on sticks. By the end of the day, very exhausted. But it was fun. Luckily the isqueeze comes in handy :)

One week more to the holidays...can't wait...

In December I wrote how I tried the isqueeze demo at IMM and how i felt light as a feather as if I can fly afterwards. Well, now I can 'fly' everyday! Thanks to my loving hubby, he bought me the isqueeze to relieve my aching calves - which have been plaguing me for as long as I can remember. I guess the idea of constantly kneading & massaging my calves for hours does not constitute a romantic night - but I always appreciate it all the same. Now not only can I fly, the rest of my family members (extended & 'foster' included) are enjoying the 'leg-squeezing' sessions at least twice a day.

Today I just finished a 120pg magazine layout that I have to produce in 4-days. A mean feat considering plublication design is not my forte. It really drains you out as I can just sit in front of the screen for 4-hrs non-stop. So glad its over, better still I heard that the clients like it. But I swear I made my boss make sure that this would be the last time we will take up such jobs with such ridiculous deadline.

So the weekend is almost here, got a birthday bash of a cousin this weekend (yey!), holiday trip to get excited about and legs to squeeze. Busy, busy weekend I tell ya...

It has been quite a hectic week. Glad it was over though, especially my husband's auntie's wedding over the weekend. Of course it always do not go as planned, like we did not plan to have our little family ie Amirul & Amira included, to 'rewang' on Saturday night, or that I would be helping out extensively on Sunday for the big event, which of course made possible for the 'rescue-nanny' in the form of my Mak Busu. Amirul was roped in to do the dishes together with the dad - daddy-wash dishes, amirul-rinse, umi-wipe, Amira constantly nagging to get involved.Overall, the wedding went smoothly, heavily-aided by assistance from 2 of our homeboys, Kadok & Dory. My husband was the busiest since my mom-in-law was not around on Friday & Saturday (due to commitments in the mosque), driving around for errands, making sure that everything is in place and that our Auntie will be saved from any worries about the event. So it was no surprise that on Sunday night, he was easily snoring by 9.30pm - so unlike him.

On Monday, I was back at my much-loved work, and my husband have to do more driving around as my sis-in-law is on hospital for a minor surgery.

Last night, we had a dinner to 'reward' our wedding-assistants. It was also a lil do to celebrate an upcoming birthday of my hubby's fav bro- Happy 35th Birthday Saiful. Hope that whatever events that will come your way(u know what lah) will not dampen your much-awaited celebration of your best birthday gift ever- your son.

I'm not an ardent traveller - I wish I was though. The last time i went for a so-called 'break' was the drive to Kuantan & Trengganu mid last-year. So my husband would like to take the family away for a holiday and fly there for a change. I honestly didn't know that it was THAT difficult to reserve & get a flight ticket. I would understand if it was a public holiday. But we purposely chose a weekday so as to avoid the peak period. But nooooo...tickets were tough to secure I guess everyone else think like us too.(bless my auntie & cousin for their consistent patience & tolerance). So we got the tickets..and now the next nightmare..the lodging. So i hope the break will be all truly worth it after all that we go through huh? I'll keep you guys posted...

One reason for my lack of blog-updating was the workload that was just overwhelming. I was juggling like 4 different projects at one time and also the some voluntary design stuff that I took up to help out in the mosque.

Amirul & Amira was down with fever & flu..AGAIN..I know. I think we better start some kind of a credit account with our family doctor. My husband has been staying at home to ensure that they recover quickly. And things are looking better for them.

Over the weekend, one of our guys announced that he's getting hitched...by the end of the year. My husband was shocked, I was pleasantly surprised. On the surface, it looks so simple and straightforward. Yet so somplicated at the same time. Back in my time, it was simple & straighforward decision too. He was ready, I was ready, we took about 2 years to plan our wedding. In my eyes, it was a simple wedding but was complex in the planning & logistics, u know, the whole wedding planning-thingy. Nowadays, the decision to get married is fairly simple but I hope they understand the complexity of the situations that they are involved in. Of course at the end of the day, we will be happy for them & hope they would last a lifetime. Granted, I suppose we would not fully understand the ponderous decisions that come to play when they decide to get hitched. And given the short-time span to plan, I was slightly concerned too. It would take some time for our whole posse to sink in the idea of all this. And we still have up til December, by then we hope all of us will feel nothing but happy for him. Congratulations again to you.Yesterday, we got ourselves 2 new "babies"!
