Amirul participated in his 2nd Fancy Dress competition yesterday. It was organised by Al-Falah Mosque in conjunction with Israk Mikraj and was held at Clementi Stadium. Though he did not emerge the winner, it was a big triumph all the same for him as he has improved his confidence tremendously and more outspoken unlike his first-time. It was sweltering hot yesterday and I was just amazed at how the kids can stand all smiley obedient in the heat sashaying in their costumes without any complaints. There were 20 contestants in all. There were plenty of 'Arab Sheikhs' and mini Princesses but the top spots were ruled by 2 kings, A Malay Sultan and A Javanese King. But Amirul was happy as all of the kids got 2 presents each for their participation and he had fun with his friends.

On Thursday night, the whole family(hubby side) and his posse headed to the airport for a warm-sending off to my dear sis-in-law who will be in Adelaide for 6 mths to be with her husband who is studying there. Amirul & Mira was quite affected as they just sat by her side all day long as if knowing that their auntie will not be around for awhile which means no more weekend baking & cooking for 6 mths.He did manage to bake 1 last strawberry cake for keeps before her departure.

Last night we had our late night tete-a-tete at our beloved sarbat - the first in more than 3 mths - with our posse mamu & mami. Miraculously, my hubby's asthma have somewhat improved astonishingly after that. I'm telling you we are back in business..teh-tarik anyone
