Its already the 7th day of Aidilfitri. The last week have been filled with days of visiting and more visiting. Nothing much have changed from the previous years. At least this year we were more prepared and not much of last minute running around. We almost covered all the important people(except for a few relatives & except for friends of course). Over the weekend there will be more open-houses of yummy 'food-binging', meeting up with friends, induced with chatters & gossips-galore - pretty exciting actually.oh yes, and more photo-posing snapshots I reckon...

its been a good 5 years
problems abound but you always pull through
bruised & beaten but you always get back on your feet
all fresh & rejuvenated after every sprucing
you've taken us to nooks & crannies with memories that we cherish
you've served us well, with all sincerity, we bid adieu..to our good ol trustworthy pal.

With Hari Raya, less than a week away, I am pretty pleased to see that things are all falling into place, hopefully with no last-minute-panic rush to get or prepare anything. Last week, I switched on to my 'Martha Stewart'mode and baked 5 different Hari Raya cookies- some also to give to the in-laws to fill in the void left by Shah-the resident baker, who's in Adelaide now. Our room is looking good, all the 'baju's' & shoes are all set & ready, even my hubby have already polished the windows, washed his fish tank and helped out in the kuih-making bit as part of his 'contribution'. He of course already have a BIG Hari Raya toy to keep him happy:)

Amirul have been diligently doing his full-day fasting (except for the first 2 days where he did only half day) although you get the occasional..'umi, macam lapar lah.." or "umi, Mira's chocolate tu macam sedap eh..?" he still made it through the day. Although I must say he did lose a considerable amount of flesh from his already thin frame. He turned 6 two weeks ago, and we 'celebrated' his big day in conjunction with the Majlis Iftar at my grandma's house together with all the aunties, uncles & cousins. Joining his already crowded Toy Storey 'family' is Jessie & Mr Potato Head and a plush version of Buzz Lightyear.(I think his toybox is already like a mini Toy Story 'concentration camp'...)

I feel almost too surreal as we are yet in a panic mode over the impending Hari Raya. Could we have everything all covered & prepared? But thinking back, since we are still practically 'renting' my mum's house, everything looks almost 'covered'. I even do not feel the need to go JB like the previous years as I feel we do not have anything else to buy-of course if you go JB for the fun of it, there will ALWAYS be things to buy.

Work have been quite hectic. We added another hotel work under our belt apart from the other 2 we are already handling. Tiring, but I guess it must be good news as it means my finances are covered indefinitely for at least 2 yrs, insyaallah...

I would like to wish all Selamat Menjalani Ibadah Puasa(with about 6 more days left) & Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir & Batin.

여보세요, 오늘 어떠세요? Annyong haseyo?
Thanks to my sister, the last 2-days of my off days were spent transfixed watching a marathon of Korean drama "Full House", and I'm not talking about 1-2 episodes but the whole series! Being a 'virgin' Korean drama watcher, I was very impressed by how I enjoyed watching it, which translated to about 21 hours of Korean drama which I think was spread over a few mths if shown on TV. I am not too sure if was already shown on TV and I only know that the leading actor was a very famous Korean star going by the name of 'Rain'. I only knew about his fame when I saw him on the cover of a magazine on the newstand when I have to peel myself from the TV to fetch my son from school. To say I was 'glued' is such an understatement and I am sure my husband can very well attest to that, having to face Han Ji-eun & Lee Young-jae everytime he enters the room. A convert that I am now, can't wait to head for the video store for my next Korean drama DVD marathon...
And after about a month of living out of suitcases & boxes, our room is now almost all done up except for minor hitch.(like shelves which are too long which resulted in our bed jutting out in a so-wrong position) But on the whole, we are very pleased with the results. Our room looked more spacious and things are more organised now with stuff put to where they are supposed to be. It was of course not smooth sailing, some of the hitches we encountered were stuff like the wrong material, incorrect measurements and some chip on the new laminated flooring while the carpentry work was in progress. But our contractor was very cooperative and were quite hands on except when his handphone batteries went flat.Anyway, we are now very happy & proud 'new-room' owners.

It also good to know that my friend's condition is said to be improving. During this blessed Ramadhan I sincerely hope she will recover and come back home soon.
I hope its not too late to wish everyone a Happy & Blessed Ramadhan...
