With tummies full and appetite satisfied,we lazed around at the in-laws til about 5 and brought the kids to their first-ever car-wash experience. Amirul was at first very excited at the prospect but the excitement was soon shortlived as the 'Mr Bean' vcd apparently took precedent. Amira was non-chalant most of the time except when she saw the 'uncle' sprayed soap & water all over the car by showing a a hint of enthusiasm with a 'wide-eyed' look - kids, so difficult to please these days...
Now what shall we do or where do we go tommorow...with the weather being so cool and breezy this past few days, I am so tempted to have another go at a Korean drama marathon yet again - courtesy of my sis's friend. we'll see...

The 2006 Aidilfitri has officially come & go. I must say I do feel a little poignant everytime I think about how really fast it just whizzes pass by us. The last 3 weeks have gone with a lot of going-ons. What with all the Hari Raya visits, open-houses, birthdays (specifically MINE!) and meet ups, I must say I can certainly forgive myself for abandoning this little journal of mine-if only for awhile.
We were guests to Erhan's 3rd birthday courtesy of his mummy Emilia, a great chum of mine. Now both of us with 2 kids in tow almost certainly keep us in check about how 'not-so-young' we already are. The next was the birthday of my other great chum all the way in Auxerre France who are well on the road of recovery, my dear Jules...(really can't wait to see her soon).Of course a few days before hers was the hatch-day of your-truly.Unlike previous years where I would have to decide what I want for my birthday, my dear hubby decided to make it more exciting. He decided to celebrate my birthday not just one day but over a few days. And within these few days, he'll bring me wherever I want to shop and get me what I want :) I was so overwhelmed! the first day we went to get my new ring sans the kids. The 2nd day we went to Vivocity to look for my bag. The 3rd day was to FarEast Plaza to get my shoes & some tops. The fourth day we went to Raffles City supposedly to look for another bag, now in black since I already got 1 in red. I told him this was the best birthday by far...(and the shopholic in me smiles in glee)
In between the birthday madness, Amirul had his kindergarten graduation.Alas, my dear son will finally be in a 'real' school next year and he won't be my little boy no-more. Even now, I was complaining to my hubby how he is now shy to even be kissed by me in public, especially infront of his friends - BOYS! He is also now officiallly shortsighted after undergoing a series of tests, first at the Polyclinic and then at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He is now waiting to get his first-ever spectacles and boy is he so happy with that. He thinks its so cool, but of course the dear dad already have plans for him to undergo lasik surgery once he's eligible.
Earlier today we brought the kids out for a fun 'get-a-small-toy' outing. We stopped by a quaint place called Eclectic Attic at PS for drinks before heading home. It was nice & cosy, I tasted 4 different tea and the kids had a very refreshing lemonade. All the furniture was english vintage and everything in the shop was on sale. For a while, with the background music and english teacups, we felt like in a small town in London. Nice. I don't know if my 'birthday-clebration-shopping-mania' have officially ended- I wouldn't dare ask nor mention it :) Of course any sane-woman in my situation would not ever want it to end.But I am truly thankful and feel very blessed all the same...
