So we are back from our much-awaited family break from Port Dickson sans daddy-dearest & xiao-mei. It was short of one day then the planned 4-days as the weather was not too friendly and also hubby dearest was unfortunately 'under-the-weather'. The very fact that he survived the 3 hour drive amidst sneezing & coughing was a miracle in itself. It was my first-time in Port Dickson - I think we went there when I was like 3 or 4 when memories do not serve me too well. The view from our 3-room suite was awesome. Each room got an unobstructed panaromic view of the straits of Malacca. I felt like the sea breeze has truly a calming effect coz I feel really lethargic over there. The kids had a good time. The adults tried to I guess even though my brother & I were coughing and were not feeling too well. The rain certainly dampen the holiday spirits somewhat. The food was not too bad - although not that amazing either. We discovered that when a restaurant serves seafood it always eventually serve thai-styled. So tomyams and nasi paprik was quite a common fare over there. On our way home, we stopped by our favourite kampung-stopover, Mak Itam's house at Batu Pahat. It is always nice to drop by as she never fails to cook-up some good home-cooked asam-pedas and telor dadar although the son, Jaafar did eventually treated us to a nice-chinese styled restaurant for late lunch.
It was raining non-stop throughout the drive form Port Dickson to Singapore and we found out that it have been raining here at home since Sunday, the very day that we left.
Today was the much-awaited opening of Evertop Hainanese Chicken Rice. Feeling very 'kan-cheong' and 'kiasu' dear husband wanted to be the first chicken rice-cutomer at 9am only to be told that the chicken would only be ready at 10.30. So we had eggs & french toast first before going there again to witness the grand opening with lion dance & all.

Its already the first week of December - which means we are left with 3 more weeks of school holidays - which means 3 more weeks of me coming up with ideas to keep the kids busy - which means 3 more weeks before Amirul goes to the 'real' school (sob*sob* - my son's all grown up...).I was fortunate as this week my Mr Bill Boss is away for his meeting at Kuantan, that would leave me uninterrupted mummy-kids time for 7 straight days. We made our promised trip to the zoo on Tuesday. The kids had a swell time. Luckily hubby's asthma did not act up therefore the trip was a more 'pleasureable' experience for all of us. We were lucky to be able to catch 3 animal shows while we were there which makes the trip seem so much worthwhile. The mission to tire the kids out til the end of the day seems to work again coz after the zoo walk and the time spent swimming at the kids Playworld made them 'retire' by 6pm.

Earlier today we made another trip down to Vivocity. We made it a mission to stroll the entire place to know exactly where each shop is. Now we roughly know that most of the restaurants are at the 2nd level facing the sea-view and the most time-worthy levels to window shop is the 1st & 2nd levels, we know where the cinemas are, where to find the nursery room and that Earl Swensons is not as great as Swensons although they up the price a notch.

I am facing a dilemma. Its been less than 6mth since I changed to my Ericsson 810i followed by less than 2 mths since I switched to my W850i.BUT I saw the new Nokia L'Amour collection - I SOO LOVE IT. Functions aside, I think the design is so ME. Previously when they came up with the 7360 series collection I was held back with their lack of functions being the techie that I am. But now that the new 7390 & 7373 have managed to keep up its functions with the Sony Ericssons I am SO TEMPTED. Dear hubby have been asking me everyday if I would like to get the new collection but I am still contemplating and still doing my research and comparisons. I do hope that the next purchase would be a loooong while until the next upcoming switch coz transferring files & customising the phone yet again do take a lot out of you. So for now, I am still contemplating...
