As a promise to Amirul we made our way to the new refurbished National Museum on the last day of the CNY holidays.Of course interest came about after watching 'A Night at The Museum.) luckily he did not ask too see the T-Rex or Atilla the Hun. I've always loved going to the museums & galleries and hopefully this interest would rub off on my 2 kids. We were very impressed by the new high-tech features like the spectacular wide-screen theatre showing the story of Temasek and a personal digital guide called the Companion. It was a very enjoyable & eye-opening trip for Amirul and oh also the dad because this was his first trip to the museum too after many long years. For more pictures & details of our trip do check out my multiply page.

Unlike others, I do not really have a particular 'most-favourite' movie star or singer. But somehow, I don't know why I am always charmed to my wits and always have a smiley face or tickled to my funny bones whenever I watch any Hugh Grant movies. Nevermind his 'not-so-exemplery' antiques & life outside the silver screen, that guy has a charm I cant explain. From '4 Weddings & a Funeral' to 'Nottinghill','Love Actually', 'Bridget Jones' and even 'Sense & Sensibility'- I love the pesona & quick-wit that he displayed so well. Now I can't wait for his latest movie - 'Music & Lyric' with Drew Barrymore.
Its the long Chinese New Year weekend and we do not have any concrete plans as we believe the the beaches & parks will be thronged by those who are not celebrating the 'Gong Xi' Spirit.
I have started my very own Oscar movie marathon with movies waiting to be screened on 'Pixie'- yes, thats the name given to my Macbook :)I've seen 'Little Children', 'Babel' & 'The Curse of The Golden Flower', and waiting on the pipeline would be 'Dreamgirls', 'Blood Diamond' and 'The Queen'. I'll share & review all of them once my marathon is done - if we have less than exciting plans for the long holidays...

I have been feeling under the weather lately - the past 2 weeks to be exact. That should explain my bout of absence from my virtual journal world. Now there are still trails of 'disease' like my runny nose, and oh, a new pain, a weird mysterious sharp pain in my toe. On the surface I cant really see anything but it hurts a hell lot when pressed or if I just exert a wee bit of pressure on it. Dear hubby have been bugging me to go to the dr at least to know what really is wrong but the stubborn-head that I am is still resisting. I mean I can still walk & run, I'll make do with just my Birkies for the next few days(thank god I've enough to cover any outfits that I may wear). The past 2 weeks alone, I have been to my dr's twice. The 2nd visit mainly because the 1st round of medicine do not really work on me. Currently, I am still feeling a little woozy and I feel like this body is not my own.
Apart from the dreaded flu infection, I have been busy with - MY NEW TOY. Have been busy, watching movies, creating home-made dvds with my Macbook. On the not so bright side, I will be expected to finally start digitising all our home DVs and converting it all to DVDs. I shall take my time.
Last 2 Fridays, we met up with Amirul's teacher during their first PTA meeting. A very proud moment I should say. My dear boy was cited as very bright, intelligent and mature beyond his years. I guess all worries we have about him can be laid to rest for the moment.
Dear hubby is happy especially when this was told on the day that he turned 36. Yup my otherhalf celebrated his birthday on the same day as my grandfather who turned a great old 93. I should feel very blessed as I still have 2 paternal grandparents who still know who I am and are still able to live their lives as they wished.
