For the next few weeks, our lives will now revolve around suitcases & boxes. The renovation of our room will start on Monday- in conjunction with the 1 week school holidays. We have been packing stuff bit by bit, box by box but have to rev up to 5th gear on Wednesday when the 2nd hand furniture store decided to not just 'take-a-look' but collect our wardrobe & dressing table on the same day. Very sentimental when that happened as it is a after all part of our wedding furniture. But hey, better things are in the pipeline, right? So our clothes, books & toys are packed & organised so that our lives will not be abruptly affected by the temporary situation. So far our room is now 80% empty. Mattresses on the floor sans a rented room, but it sure feels more airy & spacey. The next week while our room is being renovated & remodeled, we'll retreat to our weekend abode at Bt Panjang and Amirul is already feeling very excited about the idea-like a broken record I tell you, with chorus of "are we going today?" on repeat-mode.
Amirul's school holidays started on a high-note with a surprise for him at the Kids Central live show. We deliberately kept it underwraps, revealing it only when we arrived to prevent a repeat-telecast of the broken-record mode. Yes, it was a truly a good surprise as he was so awe-struck by the whole show. As for me, I do not really get Teen Titans or Justice League so the show was just a so-so for me. I can only relate to the Batman show. But I must say I was quite impressed with the pyrotechnics and appreciate the extent of the production process involved - having involved in such-like-production once-upon-when-I-was-working-fulltime ago.
The school holidays started on a good note and today we are off to an engagement...:)
