After weeks & months of planning, organizing & rescheduling, we girls finally meet up last saturday for dinner at Mad Jack. With kids & husband in tow, almost all of us made it(at least those that matters :)) even my hubby who have a minor-puzzling rescheduling mix up of dates. I expected more of that place after all the publicity that t has received. Let me begin with the good points, the food was not bad,the price reasonable, the company was great. The 'minus points' are its ordering system - we have to order ourselves by ticking the items on a ready-made menu & also fill in the qty and also fill in the food code number (super-confusing, more confusing with kids & husbands with a group of 16 - challenging to say the least), then you have to queue at the counter to confirm your order with your items picked & make payment. Now imagine having to do this 3 or 4 times everytime you decide to order something. It stated in its brochure that they have a playroom (not!!) the 'room' is actually a small little area by the side of one dining table, with bookshelves & a plasma TV where kids can play x-box. Maybe because its a crowded Saturday, but I feel its not so kids-condusive environment for family. Okaylah so much for my grouses. At the end of the day, we had a great time and looking forward to our next meet up - Hari Raya!!
